Default My Name Is Earl = Cancelled!

Quote:
NBC revealed a partial look at its fall plans, announcing the pickup of four dramas, two comedies and three renewals, while declining to unveil a fall schedule and leaving the fate of some key shows in limbo.

The network announced that next season's lineup will include two medical dramas -- "Trauma" and "Mercy" -- the one-hour dramedy "Parenthood," starring Peter Krause and Maura Tierney, and, for midseason, the apocalyptic series "Day One." On the comedy side, "100 Questions for Charlotte Payne" and Chevy Chase's "Community" received orders.

As for renewals, the John Wells-produced cop drama "Southland" and NBC-produced comedy "Parks and Recreation," starring Amy Poehler received 13-episode orders. Monday night's "Heroes" also received a pickup.

Patricia Arquette's "Medium" received a pickup Sunday morning, though its exact order was being worked out and expected to be in the 13-18 episode range. NBC also announced six new "Saturday Night Live" Weekend Update primetime specials, which performed strong in the fall when tied to the presidential election.

The network postponed the verdict for two of its remaining series, however -- the fan favorite sophomore "Chuck" and veteran "Law & Order." Both series appear likely to return, but the decision won't be made until later in the month. Also, no surprise saves for "Life," "My Name Is Earl" or "Howie Do It."

Previously announced series pickups include "The Office," "30 Rock," "The Biggest Loser," "The Celebrity Apprentice," "Law & Order: SVU," "Friday Night Lights," and new reality series "The Marriage Ref," "Breakthrough With Tony Robbins" and "Who Do You Think You Are?"
Motherf*****s is all I have to say to NBC.

Entertainment Weekly included My Name is Earl as one of the shows whose fate would be decided May 19. It is thought that Fox will pick it up if NBC cancels it since Fox produces the shows and would like another season to make it more attractive for syndication. So I'm pretty sure NBC hasn't done anything official with Earl yet.

I loved My Name is Earl for the first two seasons but the third season was pretty flawed. I haven't seen much of the forth yet but the few episodes I have seen were only okay so I figured it would be cancelled.

I'm more pissed about CW not picking up Reaper, hopefully another network gives it a chance

Nope, he's getting ready to film Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.

Plus, THIS SHOW HAS NOT BEEN CANCELED YET. It's status won't be known for a couple weeks, it just wasn't on NBC's list of returning shows, just like Chuck, Medium, and Law & Order. NBC officially canceled Life, this show most likely will be on Fox or NBC this season.

Season 3 and 4 may not be great, but I still hope it doesn't get canceled. Let the creators end it rather than push it out the door.

Seasons 1 and 2 were definitely the best. Maybe the show being in limbo is just what the writers need get them back into gear. Maybe they will start writing some season 1/2 quality shows again. That is assuming the show continues...

Kevin Smith said he's open to Clerks 3 in ~10 years, plus he said "it's over" after J&SBSB

He always had Clerks 2 planned. The book wasnt over at the end of J&SBSB.

And ten years is a long time for some of the cast, especially if they happen to get back into drugs. *Cough* Mewes *Cough*

It would suck if this is actually canceled. Admittedly season 3 wasn't the best, but I thought they got a lot better this last season.

Parks and rec is absolutly the worst show that has ever been.

Unorignial piggybacking off of a good show, bad acting, et cetra.

Of all the shows on all the 150 channels I watch, this one is in the top 5 for getting canned.

I would rather watch reruns of Full House.

Of course, re runs of Married with Children would crush the entire fall lineup for all the networks

They might get rid of the original Law & Order?
