In summary, looks like a delay to second half 2024, with a possible release date announcement in early December, possibly at the Video Game Awards show.

Per their announcement at TGA last night, release date is now 9/9/2024. Kind of a long way out to lock in a specific release day, so I wouldn't be surprised if it changes.

I watched the trailer for this and i recall the previous titles being like top down and whatnot which isn't really to my go to type of games, so i overlooked this until i came across a trailer which usually do awesome CGI stuff, and pleasantly surprised to see this have a 3rd person and traditional gameplay.

Is the previous game also 3rd person or is this the first entry to do it?

If Helldivers 2 style attention gets on this, it could do really well imo.

Everything i have seen or read from previews by actual players say the gameplay feels very satisfying with a few areas for polish, but the MP is broken and given that they cancelled an open beta for the MP, then this adds fuel to the fire they're basically going to have to really try fix this post release.

I think a lot of people will have fun with this if they enjoyed Helldivers 2 but wanted something a bit more casual with the enemies and also MP with PvP

Not sure why you'd think it's only one type of gameplay. That's like thinking that Fallout is always isometric from/since the first game, or that Grand Theft Auto is always top-down view from/since the first game, or that Halo is always a first person shooter...

Reviews are starting to go live for Space Marine 2, Metacritic currently sitting at 85. Great to see and thankfully not surprised... the footage we've been seeing for the last couple of months has been pretty awesome.

Glad to see it’s reviewing well on PC, but does it play well on console (PS5)?

Can I really play a single player campaign? I thought this was co-op only?
