Default King Kong (2005) vs Godzilla (2014)

Which remake/reboot of the classic films is the better one?

Love both, but Jackson's Kong is better.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to pit Kong 2005 against Godzilla 1998... on second thought, never mind.

Jackson's King Kong has grown on me over the years, Godzilla has not.

Peter Jackson's King Kong was long, overly-indulgent, and boring (despite Naomi Watts, who I usually love). Godzilla was surprisingly good. I thought I'd hate that movie but was amazed at how solid it was.

I really like both, but gotta go with the Big G.

But yeah, the era-appropriate comparisons would be:

- King Kong 1933 vs. Godzilla 1954.

- King Kong 1976 vs. The Return of Godzilla / Godzilla 1985.

- King Kong 2005 vs. Godzilla 1998.

- Kong: Skull Island vs. Godzilla 2014.
