Criterion will be releasing a 6-film Jackie Chan set in November!

Note: Several members have reported issues with the packaging being too tight, with great difficulty getting the digipak out. If you're having trouble, the easiest solution is to open it from the other side, and simply push the digipak out (credit to fitprod for this suggestion). It apparently gets easier to remove after that first time.

Very excited for these as these are some of the essential Jackie Chan films missing on Blu-ray in the US. Glad the Lucky Stars trilogy will now be complete.

Also, MifuneFan, the J is missing from Jackie on the main title of title of the thread.

I love Ackie. But damn with so many different Jackie box sets I'm gonna have to do my homework on where to look for what.Especially because I kind of expect the Project A's and Wheels on Meals to get 4K releases

The Project A films are coming from 88 Films at some point. Those will probably be 4K

Yikes with this, the September Shaw from Shout Set and the October Shaw from Shout set (not to mention the rumoured DECEMBER set), the end of this year is looking amazing for martial arts fans and really, really expensive.

Yeah, a ton of his films have made it to the US this year alone. I really do want Shinjuku Incident on Blu-ray here which one of his more recent films that I really enjoyed.

So glad Criterion went through with this. These were the films I felt unsure of because it's such a random assortment of films and Criterion hasn't really done themed sets.

I'm planning to watch every JC film I have in release order at some point, with most of them being first viewings. This should be fun.

Now lets get some of those other Asian films you've been sitting on for so long.

This was my plan too for the fall but with so much still I have to get through (those Shaw sets, for example), I won't get to Jackie until the January...or CHANuary

At this point it's quite INSANE how many HK titles have come out this year. We went years with very little and then BAM, the floodgates open. Not complaining, but man it's been hard to keep up and find the time to watch all of these.

Currently listed on Unobstructed View at CAD$165.98 (nearly as pricey as the 12 film Shaw sets and Lone Wolf and Cub [6 films] is cheaper at $125).

No box set charge there at the moment but, still, hefty price tag considering Criterion is listing it for $99. Will keep my eye on other places to see if us Canucks can snag this thing cheaper.

NOTE: If last few years is an indication, the flash sale will either happen before or on release date and, like they did with, say, LOST HIGHWAY, they won't include discs released the same day as the sale.

Nice to see them employ Frank Djeng on some commentary tracks finally. He did the translation on Last Hurrah for Chivalry but I was disappointed he didn't do one for that release.
