"Funimation announced on Friday that it has licensed the Wolf's Rain and The Mystic Archives of Dantalian television anime series and will release both series in February on home video.
Funimation will release Wolf's Rain in a complete series collection with all 26 episodes (including the 4 OVAs) on a Blu-ray Disc and DVD combo pack on February 7. The release will include Japanese and English audio with English subtitles." - ANN (Source) |

Just a little reminder again, there is no Blu-ray release in Japan, so be a bit cautious.

But honestly, Funimation's Collector's Editions of rescued titles seem to be pretty random not to mention they can't seem to get their act together on them. |

Also they continue to put out releases with very bland disc art. Just look at this! (Yes, I'm this determined to prove a point)

Am I alone in saying that this isn't a very good upscale/remaster/whatever Funimation did here?
I had to double check and make sure that I put a Blu-ray in and not a DVD copy. The quality just doesn't stand out to me at all. I might sound crazy for saying this but I prefer the old Bandai DVDs ten times over this "Blu-ray" release. |

My problem may be that I thought the Bandai DVDs looked REALLY great for being older DVDs, I guess. The upscale doesn't look even noticeably better half of the time imo.
