I've only seen Melancholia but it's definitely a masterpiece.

I've never seen Images of Liberation nor Medea (nor Nymphomaniac obviously). The Kingdom was my favorite work of his for a while until Dogville was released and nudged it out. Manderlay didn't impress me as much, but I'm still hoping for the third installment of his America trilogy and crossing my fingers that Amy Adams stars as Grace this time around. Overall I consider him a very interesting if somewhat frustrating filmmaker.

Anyway, my rough order of preference:

Dogville
The Kingdom
Melancholia
The Five Obstructions

...more or less the border beyond which it becomes a love/hate relationship...

Manderlay
Breaking the Waves
Dancer in the Dark
The Boss of it All
Europa
Antichrist
The Element of Crime
The Idiots
Epidemic

Dancer in the Dark is his masterpiece, imo, followed by Breaking the Waves.

Breaking the Waves is an all-time favorite and the illustrious Emily Watson should have won all the awards for that. Also enjoy Melancholia and Dogville.

"Nymphomaniac." One of the most underrated films of all time. The director's cut is magnificent.
