Default PC to TV

I want to hook my PC to my HDTV.I looked on Monoprice,but I am not sure which cable to get.The book says to get a 15 pin D-Sub RGB (VGA) cabel.Could someone please point me in the right direction

does your tv have hdmi? if so your gonna want a dvi-hdmi cable to connect the video. your gonna need a cable for your sound card as well though.

You can stream the media through your PS3 wirlessly and not even need a damn cable.

But if you must, you can buy the cable, just go to best buy or frys or somewhere and tell em' what you wanna do, they'll point you in the right direction. Its VGA. Only thing you need make sure to do is make sure if its male to male or male to female...

I run a 20' VGA cable from my gaming laptop to my XBR5. The TV has a dedicated socket for it. I run at 1920x1080 resolution for fairly intense 3D games. I can also read text without trouble from 10 ft away.

That said, I'm on a 1080p TV. You may end up with a black box around the computer display on your TV if your graphics card resolves to the native resolution on your TV.

Personally, I connect my PC to my TV to play computer games. Streaming media has nothing to do with my need to connect my PC to a TV.

Or you could buy one of those Sony Desktops that connect through HDMI...

Course there 1500 to 3000 but...

This is what I do. DVI cord is better than VGA....
