I had the French edition on DVD. About 18 months ago I was watching it but it wouldn't play one of the chapters - on any of my many machines so I threw it into the bin.

I'm thrilled to welcome this edition back in my collection and on Blu Ray - great film in every respect and probably Dean Martin's greatest performance.

I have it too. I made it about 300 pages into it, then stopped. Wasn’t digging it all that much, and didn’t want to commit to another 950 pages.

I find Some Came Running a very unique film and can't wait to own it on Blu. As for that ending, yes one of the best film endings ever.

Regarding that great ending, some film trivia here: without giving anything away, I will just say that the original script contained an entirely different ending. The script was changed on a suggestion from Sinatra resulting in the ending that you see on screen.

Amazon states that it's mono, but that must be a mistake, as it should be stereo. The original release was 4-track stereo.
