Default Cable/Satellite/TV menus

I know this is pretty petty of me but....

On my over the air broadcasts (digital and HD) I have a TV guide menu (like all or most HDTVS have). This menu is neat and crisp. It is clearly designed for HDTVs.

My friend has Comcast HD. He watches HD shows and he has it all hooked up via HDMI. However, his Comcast menu (where he selects the shows to watch) is only SD. It looks terrible and everytime he is looking for a show he has to look at this menu. He also has the HDish TV guide that I have and all/most HDTVs have but since he has Comcast he doesnt use it.

Now this menu is something I would be looking at a lot and it would without a doubt bother me greatly. Is his Comcast hooked u up wrong (his HD programs look pristine)? Does satellite come with HD menus?

Now when everyone is finished making fun of my petty complaint, I would appreciate an answer.
