Moar Canal titles previously released on BD by Kino. Guess these were cheap like the former Shout pickups.

OTOH, I wouldn't be surprised if Solider Blue and the Producers get another release since Kino recently put out the BDs and both have newly completed 4k HDRs ready to go.

at first I didn't know this movie, the looked up the VHS box and totally recognized it by its English name EVIL WITHIN.

It’s Time to Feed the Baby! It is a voracious parasite from the dawn of creation, surviving centuries in search of the one thing it needs: to be born of a human. But when this cunning creature slithers inside a sexy circus performer (voluptuous French starlet Emmanuelle Escourrou, Lady Blood), it demands gallons of fresh blood to grow stronger. Now this reluctantly expectant mommy and her chatty mutant fetus are off on a cross-country killing spree, where pre-natal care means violent carnage and the ultimate mother’s milk is Baby Blood! Also known as The Evil Within, this French shocker is now presented totally uncut and uncensored with all its infamous womb-raiding, gore-spewing and flesh-baring beautifully restored in HD! Co-written and directed by Alain Robak (Adrénaline).

Extras:
  • 2019 UHD SDR Master – From a 4K Scan of the 35mm Original Camera Negative
  • Audio Commentary by Film Historian Lee Gambin and Film Critic Jarret Gahan
  • Includes both Original French and English Audio
  • Theatrical Trailer
  • Optional English Subtitles

Amazon went immediately into "Temporarily out of stock" status today. Got an email for my pre-order to approve the delay, with no update on when it might ship.

Bought the Kino BD cheap during a recent sale and had a fun time with this. Bizarre little movie and very French, but definitely worth checking out if you enjoy body horror. Anyone able to comment on the differences between Kino’s HD and 4K releases? I can’t imagine the 4K upgrade is massive given the blu-ray already looks great and there’s no HDR, but this is definitely a movie I’ll be returning to and I’d prefer to have the best release on the shelf. And I’m not gonna lie, I want that sexy slipcover.

Blind bought this movie after seeing the intriguing trailer. It was pretty awful but it did have some good laughs. Terrible editing.
