I was thinking about buying a 4K 144HZ HDR TV/Monitor with HDMI 2.1 ports.
Do these HDMI 2.1 ports support 4K@144HZ HDR? or just 4K@120HZ HDR? (With no compression like DSC?) I also currently have a 4K 144HZ HDR with two Display Port 1.4 ports (and two HDMI 2.0 ports) and also with DSC, but my video card does not yet support DSC. I was wondering if I upgrade my video card (to support DSC), does the DP 1.4 cable interface support 4K@144HZ HDR with DSC? My 4K resolution is 3840 x 2160... This might help.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#R...or_HDR10_video On paper it looks like HDMI 2.1 does support 4k at 144hz without compression. Obviously don't take that as gospel and double check any gear you want to buy. |
