Default Jackass: The Movie (2002) Blu-Ray

With Paramount seeming to be doing filmouts for old titles for 4K + Blu-Ray's for older titles that either have a old DI or don't have a Blu-Ray Release, is Jackass: The Movie and Number Two in the pipeline where the first two movies are in HD on Digital Platforms and are in-fact a filmout? They would also look better instead of the MPEG-2 DVDs with bad interlacing as well.

Wasn't it shot on standard definition camcorders?

I always presumed we never got a blu-ray version because, apart from higher bitrate, we wouldn't get a resolution bump. And both #1 and #2 look so bad that the only "scenario" i could imagine would be some sort of AI upscale, but that sucks and doesn't really work.

I'm pretty sure the intro sequence on the giant shopping cart is on film, it looks very different from the rest of the movie. But yeah the rest is pretty poor videotape/SD digital.

It still would be nice to have 1 & 2 on Blu-ray.

My eyes lit up like crazy thinking this was an announcement post...

Would love to see Paramount release a a nice complete boxset like their great Paranormal Activity set (another franchise that doesn't feel like it "deserves" HD but it does) but I got a bad feeling 1,2 and 2.5 will forever be regulated to those ancient DVDs.

Exactly me too. This thread should've never been started, it should be posted in wishlist section

Hell, just give us a 4-film set in blu-ray packaging, with 1 and 2 on DVD for all I care. I hate having like ten random DVDs on my shelf for movies like these that just never got a blu.

My thoughts exactly. These 3 movies are just a few of the remaining DVD’s I have left to convert. I was hoping when Jackass Forever came out would be our best chance for Blu-ray releases. Since it didn’t happen I unfortunately think it never will now.
