We've seen it a few months back, it's been one of the best movies we've seen at the cinema this year. Not boring at all despite its long duration.

Already got the 4K UHD Blu-ray on pre-order, it should arrive in mid-November.

Haven't seen it but very interested in it since I love the story. The French UHD only has French subtitles. I need an English-friendly version.

As in almost any adaptation from books, there have been a few changes.

oh., I saw the 4k announced somewhere but I didn't pay attention to subtitles since my french has improved, but on second thought it hasn't improved to the point of following a relatively complex story for 3 hours, so Ill have to wait til I get the english subtitles

of, I kind of mind them, I mean why would you touch perfection? the alexander dumas story is one of the greatest in literature, but as always with true art you gotta remain open to changes and interpretations.

saw the trailer and remained intrigued, obviously going to watch it because is my favorite story and I feel it like my own, and the hype from France is huge. I usually enjoy modern french cinema much more than any other european cinema, only matched worldwide by the south Korean, which is right now my favorite.

But arrg, why would you release a 4k with no english subtitles given the incredible success and scale of the movie? french cinema could really have an amazing success worldwide because they make great comedies, historical epics, dramas, thrillers, action movies, obviously great horrors and extremities, but they seem not interested at all to have success outside france.

I agree with you that a vast chunk of the best European movies come from France (and to a larger extend from French speaking countries, for instance Belgium).

Halfway thru and it’s fantastic. Loved the 2002 and this version is besting most of it so far.

Never read the book but know of it. The 2002 film didn't attract me. But this one does.

I'm hoping a US 4K release is coming, I'm not sure why Entertainment in Video is not doing a UK 4K release.

Does anyone know if the French release of this has English subtitles? I never watch any foreign language film dubbed anyway. As long it has English subtitles I'll order it.

the film is gorgeous
there's some change I'm not too fond of but overall, it's still a great adaptation
