The studio will not get my money. They could have made one good third movie and instead they screwed it all up by trying to split it up into two films...and now they won't follow through on the conclusion? Nobody buy. Nobody.

Picked this up today, fits in nice in the steelbooks where the dvds were. I'm sure Ascendant will eventually happen in some form.

I have gotten the 3 movies via Amazon for $20.
I was a little bit afraid of the quality of these UHD discs....and I was right

So far I have watched Divergent and Insurgent.
Divergent is the worst (so far). Washed out blacks. It was terrible. When watching I thought my brightness of my TV (LG B6) was at 100%. At the end I checked everything and I did put Lucy UHD in to verify......inky blacks again.....phewww.
Insurgent was better, however, the black bars at the top and bottom were lightgray. Did not see that with Divergent, those were actually black. Very strange. The overall the picture quality was a lot better. A lot brighter.
Tomorrow the last one....Allegiant. Hopefully better.

Allegiant is definitely better. I was glad to see the blacks were more black.
I can honestly say this is one of the best UHDs I have in my collection (yet).

Saw the collection at Target yesterday for $15 if anyone's interested. I passed on it because the films didn't seem to be my cup of tea. Still a good deal.

Looks like it was put out early. This releases to Target on 11/22. Can't pre-order on their site.

Is the 4K quality of these films so poor that I should not buy the 3-movie collection with a perfect slip on BF that is sitting on the shipper at Target already?

IIRC the black levels were set incorrectly on the first two movies, there's a "fix" for that by changing a couple of settings on your player and TV.

The third movie looks rather nice IMO.

They had a display case out with several UHD and BD's when I was there.
