Great movie. Yes it's sad. Not as bad as Marley & Me. I love animals.

I had no idea this was on blu! Too bad the picture quality reviews aren't good. For those who have it: Is it worth picking up over the DVD? I wonder if Warner Archive would ever put out a new transfer or something.

If it comes from Warner Archive, odds are it will be 100% the same disc.

If you want a new edition with a new transfer, you better ask Shout! (at least then Warner will give it a new transfer for that reason).

I have it and just watched it with my oldest daughter about a month ago. It is not a horrible transfer. It's far and away better than the DVD.

Transfer is a DVD era master and has massive aliasing similar to the original Lethal Weapon BD. I doubt Shout would pick this one up since Family Drama won't do gangbusters like Horror would.

I agree that Shout probably wouldn't pick it up. Even with the transfer being a DVD era master, the Blu-Ray is far superior to the DVD in just about every way.

For $14.99, it's an easy choice if you're a fan of the movie. I think I paid $9.99 somewhere awhile ago.
