Can a kid from Kansas come to New York to conquer the business world and maneuver his way from the mailroom to the boardroom in a matter of weeks? Michael J. Fox (Back to the Future, The Hard Way) proves it can be done in this very funny lampoon of corporate business life directed by Hollywood veteran Herbert Ross (The Goodbye Girl, Footloose). Fresh out of college, Brantley (Fox) is determined to climb New York’s corporate ladder in record time by masquerading as an up-and-coming executive, even though he’s really the new mail boy. However, his plans begin to go awry when the boss’s wife (Margaret Whitton, Major League) falls in love with him and he falls in love with a junior executive (Helen Slater, Supergirl), who also happens to be the boss’s (Richard Jordan, The Yakuza) mistress. The wonderful cast also includes John Pankow (To Live and Die in L.A.), Christopher Murney (The Last Dragon), Fred Gwynne (My Cousin Vinny) and Mercedes Ruehl (Married to the Mob).

Hopefully it’s a fresh scan. I love The Hard Way and was thinking of importing from somewhere in the UK, and I’ve read that the video quality is not great.

I have a copy that is fine-no extras or anything. Other than the cover (ugly) i am happy just to have it. If there isn't some enticing extras, or a new transfer, I will keep what I have.

The DNR was pretty bad. As Bluyoda discovered, it erased a bird in one scene:

Forget the bird, those Blu-ray caps are 100X better than the DVD. The DVD is a complete and utter mess. All the faces in that screenshot are mush, but at least you can see them on the Blu-ray.

The Hard Way is a favorite of mine and I'll probably pick up The Secret Of My Success for Helen Slater's performance and MJF's despite having it on the Italy set.

These are movies I don't mind dipping again on even if I have them already on BD. Great news these are coming out in USA finally on Blu-ray. I love USA releases. Hoping these have a new scan.

Definitely day 1 for both but I am the most excited for The Hard Way. woohoo.
