United Kingdom CGI Overload

Can anyone pinpoint the year when CGI REALLY took hold and went into full overload?

2012. A year after Disney released their last hand drawn film and by 2013 they laid off most of their hand drawn animators, and then released Get a Horse, which is a short that symbolizes Disney turning their back on hand drawn animation, displaying to everyone their transformation from a hand drawn studio to a CGI one, with none other than their most iconic character - Mickey Mouse.
