Picked this up and I am sure it’s just me but it’s kind of boring so far. It looks good in 4k but got stuck in some black goo area after the first building so I turned it off.

Pretty much everyone I know who has played it has had to put it down once or twice, or even permanently.

I'm a sucker for these types of games and open world in general. I love to explore and I often won't even bother with missions or stick to the story and just wander off for no reason (doing that in Far Cry 6 now).

But that said, I've read enough about the game that exploring can be difficult due to the "elements", so even I wonder if I'll be able to stick it out. I'll see when I get there, I guess. Eventually I'll play it after I get through my overly-long-and-unnecessarily-drawn-out FC6 run lol.

'Death Stranding' (Standard, not Directors Cut) is today's free game at the Epic Games store, available until 4pm UK time (GMT) on the 26th Dec.

My favourite game of 2019 (got it on PS4), it was a polarising game, like me some loved it, others hated it. But at the low price of free, well worth a try. Just need to create an Epic account if you haven't already made one. For PS & XB gamers, not free but I believe the game is available via Game Pass & PS+ Extra subscriptions.

Even if you don't currently have a PC/laptop capable of playing modern games, grab these games while they are free. They are yours to keep (it's not a free weekend or something), with the only downside being that they are installed via their Epic Launcher rather than Steam.
