Question Terminator Trilogy Question

Will they ever release the trilogy as a box set on BD?

I heard they might do it on the same date as the show and put the first season and this trilogy out on the same day...any truth to that?

It's highly unlikely that we'll ever see a trilogy box set. All three films are distributed by three different studios (MGM, Lionsgate, and Warner).

Different distributors have the rights to the movies, so its unlikely to the point of near-impossible for this to happen under current contracts.

Typically the only time you see a cross-studio box is when they trade titles

Like WB traded Perfect Storm for the Wolfgang peterson box by Sony for Dr. Strangelove for example

I own all three now. I would have considered waiting if they were going to come out in a set, but no word so went ahead and bought singles.

I'm sure they could all get together and put out special editions on the same day, but I'd highly doubt a trilogy box set ever coming out. We don't have one on dvd after all, and these meovies have been released numerous times on DVD.

I'm holding off on purchasing on Blu for the inevitable double dip. I don't want 1080i T3, and I want the extended cut of T2.

I'm really hoping the show comes to Blu

I still want to purchase T3, but saw there was a problem with the disc. Anyone hear when a proper 1080P replacement was available?

I'm doing the same with T2.

You just know the extended cut will come out sooner or later.

Also, the next Terminator film is in development with Christian Bale in the role of John Connor.
