Sadly season one is slated to only consist of 6 episodes, which to me is more like a miniseries. But if it gets picked up for a second it will probably be 13 eps.

It's 99% sure coming back for a 2nd season I would believe unless AMC was out of there minds or ratings take a severe drop.

Awsome ! I hope we don't have to wait too long for the release. A spring release would be great. End of summer 2011 - fall 2011 would be long

Most are speculating season will come out just in time for season 2 which is next October.

I heard that there were supposed to 9 eps for the first season, but lately I've been informed of the 6. Of course I don't have a link to that info because I can't remember where I saw it, but I wish there were more then 6 because I need something other than Dexter to watch.

There's an interesting article here.

BTW the premiere was insanely awesome!

If the first episode is any indication of the quality, I'll be all over this.

Amazon has the the episodes up already (okay, just the first)? Is that streaming, or for owning?

didn't some article say one of the special features of the Blu version would be the ability to view it in black and white? How awesome would that be!

That was being discussed in the Walking Dead TV thread as a cool feature but I don't think it was anything they were thinking about except the one episode Romero wants to direct in black and white.

Sorry I got my information mixed up. They did mention about releasing a black and white version on DVD and they want Romero to direct a season 2 episode.

It's no wonder, with it being directed by Frank Darabont( director of "The Shawshank Redemption" & "The Green Mile" ) & produced by Gale Anne Hurd( producer of "The Terminator" & "Aliens" ).

DITTO! I've watched it 5 times already.
