If only I waited, 12 years, then maybe I wouldn't have such a inconsistent looking set already.

I wonder if they're going to include all of the bonus features discs. Neither product page has a proper disc count but the spine looks like it says 54?
Counting up all of the discs (including the special edition for S1) there would only be 49 discs including bonus features discs. Don't tell me they're adding new content to this.

I also have this packaging art, which I found at another site a month or two ago. I was waiting for a more official version to show up before posting it, but since that artwork on Amazon seems to match it, it'll probably be similar, if the the same as this.

Season 1 if counting the special edition is 3 disc, 2 is 4, 3-9 are all 5, and 10&11 are 6 disc each. That’s 54, 53 if you were counting the standard editions, so only question really is what is disc 54.

Season 8 was the end of the show for me. I thought the season 8 finale was a perfect ending for the series. I tried watching after Rick left but it just wasn't the same and i lost interest. Either way i won't be getting this set because of what i already own, Season 1 Best Buy exclusive, Seasons 2-7 Mcfarlane statue sets, and season 8 Target exclusive steelbook.

So two jumbo cases in a slip box? I hate those, the discs are a pain to get out, except for the ones that are already loose and rolling around and all scratched up.

I must have skipped one of the 5-disc seasons when I was counting. 54 it is, and probably with the season one bonus disc.

Now I just need them to do the same thing for Fear the Walking Dead since I only have the standard edition of S1.

I mainly pre-ordered the BD version for S1-3 digital copies.

The DVD boxset artwork for the WM exclusive looks pretty good IMO. It looks like it's 2 pieces in an outer box (not sure if digipak or amaray). Hopefully, the BD isn't just a generic fat amaray case. I wonder if the disc art will be different for either set.

I have the top of the line sets for every season (including two of the final season, one from the U.S. and one from the UK) and I’m a total sucker for exclusive editions and bonus features but even I can’t possibly justify the expensive of this behemoth just to get that one bonus. Dammit, I hate when the hold-out light beer fans get rewarded while the passionate aficionados miss out.

Hmm. Tempting, tempting. I'd get it, if only to save a little space on the shelf. I'm a sucker for exclusive bonus features too. I'm interested to see what the final price ends up being- if that Amazon one is a placeholder (which I'm sure it is- they almost always start out high and then go down- I'd imagine something closer to Target's price). I imagine it won't be too hard to come by. Might try and wait this one out for a sale.

You'd think the bonus disc would be included with the Blu-ray and not DVD. Collectors go for Blu-ray (or 4K), don't the studios know this by now?

DVD also has the better artwork.

The Walmart DVD says it is an exclusive bonus disc. If it's exclusive I imagine it wouldn't be in any other release.

It's probably referring to being exclusive to the complete series set, not the format. The Blu-ray appears to also be 54 discs, though that would mean one of the previous season bonus discs is missing, unless they're combining some.

Unless this hits some sub $50 Prime Day deal I'm not double dipping. I do hate how they punish the loyal fans who bought each season as they were released.
