DVDs with HD codes?

Since I got some feedback, I decided to put some information in the OP.

Fox

Most Fox DVD's should give at least HD if HD is available. If the code has an Itunes redemption on Foxredeem, and Itunes has 4K, you should get the UHD. You must use Foxredeem. If you redeem through VUDU you just get a maximum of HD. Since the majority of Fox titles should give HD or higher, I have just listed the confirmed UHD through Itunes below.

Lionsgate has for years now bundled the same code sheet with DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K discs. This way they don’t have to create three seperate codes and three seperate sheets.

So if the highest quality available to redeem at the time was UHD, even the DVD redeemed in 4K digital. I know this from experience redeeming Lionsgate’s codes.

Nice. I think I redeemed a last witch hunter code way back, and it redeemed sd, so great they are now redeeming higher.

Interesting and kind of funny to hear some dvds have codes that redeem in as high quality as 4k. On the annoying end for me was The Warlords code sheet from the blu only redeeming in sd and Vudu would not upgrade it to hdx for me because I didn't have a several year old receipt for it.

Yes, that annoys me no end too. Barbershop The Next Cut is another example of that. Code redeemed SD even though it's not a disc based digital copy. I also got nowhere when trying to get it upgraded.

Hi.

In case this is of use to anybody. I've been picking up Lionsgate DVD codes from various places. Here's what they redeemed. Still could be YMMV if they released them in more than one batch. All the HD ones were VUDU only, so no UHD upgrade.

If anyone has any more let me know, and I can add them to the list.

The Magnificent Seven Collection showed up at Dollar Tree a couple of years ago and its code redeemed in HD. It may have originally been a Walmart exclusive?

Thanks, I actually picked up one of those Magnificent Seven a while back myself. I believe Fox released it, and they used to do the HD and above upgrade on their DVD's.

Batman VS Robin. That's the first Warners I've heard of. They are usually SD only.

Thanks. Quite a few older WB titles with HD codes. Shame all the new ones are SD.
One tip though. Always redeem the Fox titles on Foxredeem and go through Itunes. This will give you the UHD code if available on Itunes (Mike and Dave would have for example). If you redeem through VUDU you just get HD.

Please continue to send me any new ones, and I can update. For Fox just send me any that redeem UHD. Too many Fox titles to list all the HD ones.

I just bought Rookie of the Year DVD from the Dollar Tree around 4 or 3 years ago and it's come with the code inside (mentioned DVD + Digital on the cover) and I redeemed it and it come with HD

I redeemed this is also DVD come Digital Code and it come with HD both movies too.
