Default Screen shots from great movies that say a thousand words

Keeping it relatively appropriate, what screen stills best "capture" their respective film?

This thread could probably go in indefinitely, which is the hope.

Most films have several.

Here is just one of my favorites from Gone With The Wind 1939, that says a thousand words about Scarlett O'Hara the "morning after". Assuming one is familiar with the "Rhett carries her upstairs" scene...

I've always been allured by this snapshot from Fellini's 8 1/2...

Great choice with that GwtW pic. Love that movie, and that's such a great moment.

I wanted one from La Dolce Vita but wow is it hard picking just one. So, I'm going with two.

Those are great ones from "La Dolce Vita"! I always go back and forth whether I prefer "8 1/2" or "La Dolce Vita", but that's a good dilemma to have.

That reminds me, I still need to get the Criterion copy of "La Dolce Vita". For some reason, I've never picked it up.

Yes, that is a good dilemma to have -- though I've decided on La Dolce Vita.

And honestly man, what's keeping you from getting the Criterion? GET ON IT!

And this one from the 1966 film, Endless Summer, is just...quintessential...

I wish I had a good excuse...lol. Love the cover on it and have had it in my hands a few times. But the first time I seen it, I went with the Criterion for "Mulholland Dr". Then it was the Criterion for "The Blob". Then "Godzilla (1954)". Next up is the Criterion for "Dr. Strangelove", which I highly look forward to.

But I will get there. I hope...

And the shots in a film like Hitchcock's Vertigo are so photogenic that you might as well list the picture frame by frame.

For starters, how about this one of Kim Novak in red (mirroring the red velvet walls of the restaurant where Scotty first seen her)...
