![]() "Violet & Daisy" is a dark comedy. Think "Thelma & Louise" meets "Superbad" with a dash of "Pulp Fiction." Complete opposite of "Hanna." I would be surprised if it doesn't get picked up. If "Wuthering Heights" and "Meek's Cutoff" can find distribution, although limited, which have more of a narrow target audience, then so can "V&D." It premiered at TIFF with mix reviews, but the general audience was overall ecstatic about it. I see a boutique distributor picking it up, and if "V&D" does get the good fortune of being distributed I see it being released in the first half of 2012. Anyway, this opens in limited release June 7th. Here's the trailer. This seems interesting and I like the leads. I'll see it. |

I would love to see Bledel score a big role. I've been a fan since Gilmore Girls. I still think she'd be great for Fifty Shades of Grey if she'd do it. Her and Alex Pettyfer would = perfect casting.

I saw this way back in 2011, which says a lot about if this movie is any good.
My god was it terrible. I dislike hyperbole as much as anyone else, but this honestly is one of the worst films I've ever seen. I felt so bad for James Gandolfini for being stuck in this. I'll be interested to see what you guys think about this when it's released. It's so derivative of so many better filmmakers works, but the opening sequence is the most blatant Tarantino rip off you will ever see. This is already number 1 on my worst of 2013 list, and I doubt it will change. |

Are there any deleted scenes or something? Because I looked at the cast on IMDb and there are listings for characters like Anna, May, June, and Annie, along with other characters like school students. Not once did I see them in the film, and there are BTS photos of them on the set which makes it even more confusing.

Doesn't it end at a school, with one of the girls talking to Gandolfini's daughter? named background roles?
It's been years since i saw this. |

It does, but the only background character that we see is April's friend, a black schoolgirl, and those other characters are nowhere to be found.

Probably just left on the cutting room floor. I don't think any of the dvd or blu-ray releases had much in the way of extras.
