Always troubling for me! These are my 2 all time favorites. Today I picked B5. Tomorrow it could be DS9!

Such fine, fine margins....

Babylon 5 just, but I absolutely adore both.

Yeah both are great.
DS9 is the best Trek show but Babylon 5 is even better.

I never got into Babylon 5 for some odd reason; not sure why. That said, I've enjoyed most of Deep Space Nine on Netflix. Still haven't finished it, though.

I picked Babylon 5. While it takes a bit to get going (I remember buying Season One on DVD way back when, and initially being like, "Why oh why did I buy this?", but if you stick with it for like the first 7-8 episodes, something clicks and you're gradually drawn in and all of a sudden you're binging half a season at a time), but once it does it's a thing of beauty, especially when it reaches it's peak in Season Three. The build-up is just masterful. And while it might not have had the biggest budget, and the effects/costumes are certainly dated (and even the dialogue can be stilted), the overall plot is just ingenious and it really hooks the viewer. And due to all sorts of behind-the-scenes issues, Season Five kind of was a step down, but I've watched and rewatched the first four seasons probably three or four times, and I always enjoy them.

I liked Deep Space Nine and might check it out again, as I might have judged it a little to harshly, as my favorite Star Trek remains The Next Generation, so I think I might've been comparing it to that a little too much...

Here’s hoping that paramount will actually spend the money and upgrade both STDS9 and Voyager. Given all the Trek content on Paramount + it would make sense to finally upgrade this even if it was only with the 35mm film elements being scanned in HD and upscale visual effects like the forthcoming B5.

There was a time I'd happily have settled for that, but WWLB included re-rendered VFX and it looked great. That's the benchmark now. If they're gonna play ball, I want it all.....

Babylon 5. I'll die on that hill. Especially considering the 90's it was made, it is a work of art.

Rumors about Paramount accepting bids for HD redux of the series FX. Getting my hopes up for a bluray release.

https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/para...ds9-hd.315391/

In regards to the "But nobody bought the TNG restored seasons" argument, I think Paramount competes against itself by always releasing complete series boxsets in short order. If you count all the complete boxsets sold of TNG (alongside the individual seasons), they made money!
