Definitely the worst of the four seasons imo. Worth watching once for Jodie Foster, but don't think I'll be revisiting this one any time soon.

I wouldn't call it woke trash, but it was pretty week.
It had everything going right with Jodie, the setting, the story... Then they ****ed it up somehow. Such a letdown.

Thank you for commenting. A screenwriter can make ANY character (male or female) capable or incompetent -- wise or foolish -- moral or immoral. Have you seen The Wire? In The Wire, there is a wonderful variety of different characters -- male and female, straight and gay. The characterizations in The Wire never felt forced or too "on the nose."

Concerning THIS season of True Detective...I finally watched the first three episodes and decided that this season is not for me. Nothing was overwhelming and I have never suffered from intellectual catatonia. Again, thank you for commenting.
