Shad (Richard Thomas) must scour the cosmos to recruit mercenaries from different planets and cultures in order to save his peaceful home planet from the threat of the evil tyrant Sador (John Saxon), who's bent on dominating and enslaving the entire universe. It is odd that they continue to lock these Corman titles. They own them outright, so there is no licensor to force region locking.

Shout Factory lock 99.9% of their titles

the only one I'm aware of that isn't region locked is Transformers the Movie.

A few recent releases aside, Criterion too. It is still odd. Although I guess it is just easier to lock everything and not have to worry about accidently releasing something region free that was contractually required to be locked.

Why is it a scan from the IP and not the original negative? Did they lose the negatives for this one?

I like the new art but it's odd how Gelt is featured on the back along with Sador, as if he's one of the villains, when he's not. Shouldn't he be on the front with the other heroes?

No Sybil Danning interview? She seems pretty available as she does interviews on all sorts of discs I have. Would have liked to see one with Darlanne Fluegel as well.

Got my preorder in, will be first time purchasing this title. Good film, glad I waited now. Keep hoping one day S.F. will put a steel out of Deathrace 2000. Also today received my S.F. release of Event Horizon.

It's possible Roger Corman's New World Pictures sent out the OCN to Warner Bros Europe (who distributed the film overseas) and they ether lost or misplaced it somewhere.
