I just watched THE HEARTBREAK KID for the first time on Saturday night, and it was a great movie.

I believe that this comedy classic deserves a much needed Blu-ray release.

In fact, I wrote this message to Criterion:

I thought it would be great if Criterion could team up with director Elaine May to restore and remaster her 1972 comedy classic THE HEARTBREAK KID, starring Charles Grodin and Cybill Shepherd, in 4K for a Blu-ray release for the film's 50th anniversary next year.

I’m still waiting for a response from Criterion, but anyone who likes THE HEARTBREAK KID would probably agree with me about the film getting the Criterion treatment.
