Default Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (2022)

From PS Blog:

https://blog.playstation.com/2021/09...to-ps5-and-pc/

Quote:
We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing Uncharted to the PlayStation 5 console and PC with the release of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

This brand-new remastered bundle includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, featuring Nathan Drake as he hunts for Captain Avery’s long-lost treasure, setting off for one final far flung adventure across the jungles of Madagascar to long lost pirate colony of Libertalia. It also includes Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which chronicles Chloe Frazer’s breakout exploits as she moves from frenemy to hero. Enlisting the assistance of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross, Chloe ventures to India’s Western Ghats to locate the Golden Tusk of Ganesh.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available in early 2022 for PS5. The PC version is in development by our partners at Iron Galaxy and will release shortly after the PS5 version. As these dates approach, we’ll discuss more details.

Needless to say, we’re pretty excited that more players will get the chance to meet (and fall in love with) Nathan, Chloe, Nadine, and the rest of the cast in the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

Get ready to (re-)seek your fortune. Or, you know, discover it for the first time — we recommend bringing a grappling hook!
.
I hope they do add more multiplayer maps this time round. These games have plenty of lush gorgeous scenery, much of which has disappointingly not been included for multiplayer, nor has more previous maps from the other games.

When there's a drought of PS5 games, remasters are expected.

Already have this on PS4 and it looks and plays great, so I'll pass.

I'd have liked to see remakes of the first three, or at the very least, U2, but I gotta wonder what else ND is working on as well. Oh well, I don't expect I'll buy these remasters straight away, as I'm very pleased with the PS4 games, however, if they do add content such as more maps etc, I may reconsider.

Bad trailer. I couldn't tell what the upgrade was supposed to be. 4K60 I expect but how much will they charge for that?

My two least favorite uncharted games. Still good, but they're also the two I never platinumed. I'll probably pass unless these remasters offer some major must see to believe upgrades. I haven't even had the desire to replay them since they launched.

They're only being remastered so they can go to PC.

It doesn't say 60 but the trailer appears 60. I can't believe they never actually updated the PS4 version to 60 for PS5. Anyway, I'll likely get this, just like I got the 60 fps collection of 1-3 on PS4. Too bad Golden Abyss apparently will only ever live on the Vita.

I think I already know the answer to this but will they offer a free 60fps patch for current PS4 owners? I liked these games but not enough to buy them all over again.

Pretty sure this will sell for a reasonable price just like other remasters. Also the fact it's coming to PC for the very first time. I'm all over this just to support all these talented creators and all their hard work, they need to be compensated. I swear the entitlement of people that want everything free is appalling.

I agree. It's an especially strange attitude for Blu-ray.com: a site dedicated to a format that provides a superior version for a higher price.

If someone absolutely loved these games and wants to re-support them again on PS5, even up to the expected price of 39.99 to 49.99 or even 59.99, that's fine.
But as far as wanting 4K 60 fps as a free update, that's not asking for much at all. Where does it say fans have to rebuy everything we already supported on day one and buy it again, even though it looks almost exactly the same with the exception of 4K and 60 fps? Those are nice PS4 Pro features, but for $29.99 or as much as 59.99?

For those who have never played these games, that price would be much more fair, so maybe it's marketed to new players.

Want to point out all these entitled posts in this thread? All I see are a bunch of people saying they just aren't interested in buying a remaster. Steelmaker is curious if theres a 60FPS patch for the ps4 version. Not a single person here is complaining that the remasters should be free or that they aren't allowed to charge for them.

No need need to point out anything. But some still do subconsciously. Not targeted to anyone on here, just what I read on comment sections. And even on other threads of this very site.

I'm surprised so many people that aren't fans of the games were eager to post right away.

Personally I'm a huge fan of both games and I'm thrilled to be getting even better versions.

I'd pay for a 4K60 patch but I'm not sure I'd buy this collection at £60-70 if that's more or less all we're getting.

We don't have the full picture though, regarding the changes or the price (which is why the trailer seemed pretty useless). I guess the Dualsense will get some use. Hopefully there are some texture upgrades and stuff as well.

Yeah pretty much, no point in it for me.

Hoping they’re able to bring Last of Us 1 and 2 to PC though, I have a few friends who wanted to play them but never did due to console exclusivity.

No thanks.

But I would be the first sucker in line for a PS5 version of the original trilogy.

Uncharted 4 is a great game. I enjoyed it. Great graphics and gameplay. I'm a fan of the game. The island level was a favorite also and I still revisit it now and then. But I won't rebuy what looks like a near identical version as the trailer seemed to show.

Why is it a strange attitude? We got free updates to Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn, Control, Ratchet and Clank, Days Gone, etc. It's not like the precedent hadn't already been set. I don't think it's unreasonable at all to expect a free update for current PS4 owners of these games. Even still, I'd be more than willing to pay a 10.00 upgrade fee to get 4K/60. I just don't want to have to buy these games all over again when I already own them.
