I was so surprised to find out this was released on Blu-ray. I bought a copy on VHS a couple of years ago and was jonesing to get a decently-priced copy on laserdisc so I could have slightly better image quality.

Poof! It's on Blu-ray! The Gods of Guilty Pleasures answered my pleas. I do wish it was a little more widely available to purchase.

I watched this today and was surprised at how good it looked. It's a very low budget film with limited acting and choreography. There are plenty of gunshots, explosions, and even a fire gag. The protagonist doesn't get "kill crazy" until the final 20 minutes but the film is never boring. The only actor I recognized was Lawrence Jacobs (from Welcome Back Kotter). I didn't recognize Burt Ward even though he is arguably the most famous person in the film. When I saw the film was made in 1989 I was surprised as I thought it was made in the late 70's. This would probably be more entertaining watching with a group of friends. 5/10.

Robert Hegyes is also from Kotter. Bruce Glover is Crispin's dad. Looks just like him too. (at least here.)

I watched the 24 minute interview with Heavener after my post and learned that there were several other actors I had seen before but didn't recognize. Demon Dave unfortunately didn't seem prepared for the interview but it wasn't bad.
