Default Saw II

I must be brief (I need to run). I think Saw II on Blu-ray is a disappointment. Artifacts are all over the movie. What do you guys think about this one?

I haven't seen it yet as Netflix does not list it as being available. I'm curious to what others thought. I was thinking of buying this and Saw 3. (I already have Saw 1)

You might as well complete the set like I did.

I’ve had this disc since 2007 (16 years) and it’s finally rotten. Underside of the disc has turned purple/brown and it won’t play. I was trying to rewatch all of these before the new one.

Bummer. I had the original movie rot out on me many, many years ago but all the others have been ok thus far. I too am planning a series re-watch in preparation for the newest film but haven't checked my discs in years. It sounds like I'd best do that before diving in.

My Saw III disc, which was released on the same day as II, also has some signs of rot with the underside turning brown too. It’s not as bad as the disc for II, but I suspect it also won’t play.

I still love that the first post in this thread is a guy opening a forum thread with "I must be brief (I need to run)" like he just HAD to get this vital info about the Saw 2 Blu out to the world

Checked SAW 2-4 earlier today and all look like new on my end. I know that all of these were produced at both the good and bad pressing plants during this time and so it seems I lucked out with only my copy of the original having came from the bad plant. I was lucky enough to even have a slipped copy of SAW III so I'm glad that one still works. That all said... I know I'll be double dipping whenever 4k's of the rest of the series roll out so it's all a bit of a moot point anyways.

I hope they all get 4K releases but I’m not holding my breath. I’ll just stream them though just in case. Don’t want to rebuy on blu-ray just to have 4Ks announced next year.
