Metrograph Pictures will be releasing the late Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson's first and only directed film 'Last and First Men' (2020) on August 15th. The Science Fiction film, which is narrated by Tilda Swinton, was released posthumously,and a Blu-ray of the film was included previously with the CD soundtrack release, but this is the first time the film is being released by itself. I haven't seen the film yet, but Jóhannsson was one of my favorite composers, doing incredible and haunting scores for Arrival, Sicario, and many others. I was quite saddened to learn of his death in 2018.
