Default Showtime's "City on a Hill" (Kevin Bacon, Aldis Hodge, Jonathan Tucker)

Quote:
In the early 1990s, Boston was rife with violent criminals emboldened by local law enforcement agencies in which corruption and racism was the norm – and then it all changed in what was called the “Boston Miracle.” In this fictional account, Assistant District Attorney Decourcy Ward comes from Brooklyn and forms an unlikely alliance with a corrupt yet venerated FBI veteran, Jackie Rohr. Together, they take on a family of armored car robbers in a case that grows to involve, and ultimately subvert, the entire criminal justice system of Boston.
Starring Kevin Bacon, Aldis Hodge, Jonathan Tucker, Mark O'Brien, Lauren E. Blanks, Amanda Clayton, Jere Shea, Kevin Chapman and Jill Hennessy. Executive producers Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Tom Fontana.

Premieres June 16 but the pilot is already available to watch on some streaming platforms.

The second episode wasn't as good as the first, but I think I'll stick with this one.

I've stuck with it and it's been very good. Things are coming to a boiling point. Bacon is great as Jackie.

This is a good way to promote this series before second season amazed it even got another season with the weak ratings but it is not bad at all and Kevin Bacon does A+ with his character.

This version is showing the Blu-ray logo and there is no mention of BD-R on MovieZyng's website. Not sure if that is a change from before or not.

It used to show "Blu-ray disc" but MZ never said it was BD-R. Then for The Lost Symbol, Paramount has the BD logo but says BD-R and The Good Lord Bird had BD logo and didn't have the BD-R notice but it ended up being BD-R. Paramount needs to pick a lane lol

City on the Hill is gone from Showtime ****ing *******s instead of merging and bringing everything from Paramount+ to Showtime they are moving it. FU Paramount+ no wants to pay more for streaming.

And this is why physical copies will never die.

Exactly streaming is like renting basically the PQ is also not even close to what a Blu-Ray or 4K Blu-Ray Can show.

Yeah, it doesn't mention it in the review but these are BD-Rs. It does have the BD logo on the case but the discs aren't pressed and say Blu-ray Disc instead of the BD logo on the disc art.

COAH is BD-R? Or just reiterating that Good Lord Bird was BD-R?

Watching this show the first time now. Looks GORGEOUS in 4K DV. Signed up for a Paramount+/Showtime free month and was going to finish watching it there, but sure enough it's not there anymore. Gotta love streaming services haha.

One thing I'm wondering is why'd they kill off Frankie off screen? Cathy sure turned hard this season. Sucked her daughter had to learn about her Dad that way.

Just started watching Season 3 and sure enough that season isn't in DV. Def a tick down in picture quality vs the first 2 seasons.
