Which brings the question:

Why does PGR even matter anymore?

Even Ridge Racer 7 can kill it (even if RR7 got a lower rating than PGR 3). But even so, Ridge Racer 7 got an 8.2/10 which means it doesn't suck AT ALL and it in fact contradicts with what you normally read in Gamespot System War forums.

This game will no doubt BEAT Project Gotham Racing (no doubt about it). However, the only downside is that you are left barren with a limited selection of cars and tracks unless you purchase those extra items online.

Nevertheless, I may still buy it since it will be cheaper than the usual PS3 gameprice

And gives new hope for the one that comes after GT HD which is Gran Turismo 5. I can't wait for that one.

I'm no gamer but I think GT HD should be sold for US$10 with no cars and tracks. Each car and tracks could be US$0.50-US$2.00. That way the developers could add the cars and tracks as and when they complete it and gamers are happy with the pricing of a bare-bones release.

Holy cow. I'm already sold on this barebones version. Heck, anything under USD$20 is a steal already.

I guess I'll be picking this up for next year after all.
