I thought this would have gotten the Paramount Presents treatment, but at least it’s finally getting a blu-ray release!

Wow, great news! I hope paramount does a better job on this release, than they did with The Sons Of Katie Elder.

Excellent. I was hoping this would get released sooner or later. I don't mind it not being a Paramount Presents title, as the HD transfer I recorded from TV looks pretty good.

Haven’t seen this. John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Jerry Goldsmith score have me interested. Interesting this movie has a 7.3 on IMDb but 38% on RT

Hopefully not, but I doubt I'd chance buying it from Amazon if it's sold elsewhere. If it's a pressed disc elsewhere like some Paramount releases have been, then chances are it could be a BD-R at Amazon.

Doubt this is a burnt disc from Amazon. Usually those are announced within a month of release. The pressed ones are usually put up a few months in advance. Plus, even if it's burnt, it will be pressed everywhere else outside of Amazon.

That's what I meant by buying it elsewhere to be on the safe side. I just feel hesitant even chancing it with Amazon.

Great news! Lousy graphic! Why not used the classic Saul Bass design?

Any news as to whether or not this might be a fresh 4K scan of the OCN (2.35/mono) or the 70mm (2.20/6-track) blowup? I assume the release will be the 2.35 aspect ratio with 5.1 audio but the uninformative announcement is not lacking details.
