Default Which Indiana Jones movie is your favorite and why?

There may or may not be a thread on this topic but I don't care what other people say, so be it. My favorite Indiana Jones movie is Temple Of Doom because I enjoyed watching that fat raghead eat those baby snakes. Also I like the scene where they were in that cave full of bugs, spiders, etc. That scene still makes my skin crawl. Now its your turn to state your opinion.

Tough one for me as I like Raiders and Crusade about equally. Raiders for the story and action, Crusade for story and humor.

Temple of Doom for me as well. I just loved the haunting and eerie feel the movie had. You were trapped with Indy and you hoped to god you could get out.

Dude, raghead is not the preferred nomenclature . . . Indian, please

I'm sure it'll be a landslide, but mine's Raiders. It's literally a thrill a minute with a great story to boot. Great performances by everyone in the cast . . . it's just a different movie than anything that came before it, and nothing has really matched it in my eyes. Last Crusade is pretty close though, as I greatly enjoy that one as well.

I like raiders more. But the one i remember the most from childhood is Temple of Doom. That little asian kid cracks me up.

What made me laugh was when that asian kid thought he was stepping on fortune cookies but it was actually insects

Fat raghead?

Nothing offensive about that at all

I'd have to go with Last Crusade. The chemistry between Connery and Ford is what makes it #1 for me.

Out of all 4 Indiana Jones films, I'd have to say that both Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade are tied as my favorite ones.

Reasons:

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark -- The story, unforgettable plot twists, and the undeniable chemistry between Harrison Ford and Karen Allen!

2. The Last Crusade -- Loved it for Sean Connery being along for the ride. And when it came to twice the Joneses, I would get twice the action! Enough said.

The first, definitely. That snake pit scene still gets me! Wasn't much of a fan of Indy 4. It was entertaining, but still lacked. Though those killer ants... ow.

The first. Short Round and the chick irritated me to no end in Doom. Crusade was pretty good. Haven't seen Skulls.

The best film is the first film. Period. It's a classic, its brilliant, it is beautifully staged and choreographed, the acting is inspired by an adventure screenplay the likes of which we haven't seen since the 30's....Temple of Doom features Spielberg's talent trilling like a beautiful songbird, even while the script makes little sense and Kate Capshaw becomes the Jar-Jar of the Indiana Jones series. Last Crusade features Spielberg at perhaps his lowest point as a director - the movie looks like it was made by a Spielberg imitator -- where was the passion for the frame seen in the first two films? -- then we get to Crystal Skull, in whch Spielberg flexes his muscles, but nothing can save the film from the moment Karen Allen stumbles into the story, and the movie descends into absurd mediocrity for every scene afterwards. Spielberg handles the action well, but you can't light and shoot a bad performance and make it a good performance, no talent behind the camera can compensate for an uninspired (or even absurd) screenplay.

Raiders is one of only a handful of near-perfect films. Brilliant shot after brilliant shot. An embarassment of riches. A masterpiece.

Raiders first just because it's the original and Crusade a very very close second because I think it stays true to the original.
