Saw this yesterday at the theater with my (D&D) friends. It's an entertaining movie for sure, and as a D&D fan it is of course a lot of fun to try and recognize the creatures (a lot of them pass by in the background) and the spells used (Otiluke's Resiliënt Sphere for example, was an 'oh yeah, that one!' for me shortly after the movie.
The 4K disc will definitely find it's way here!

Steelbook looks a little underwhelming, but maybe it'll have a nice gloss or something to make it stand out in hand.

If not I'll stick with the standard release, but either way I will for sure be picking this up. Incredibly fun movie and should look pretty solid on the format!

Really? Then I pity that my theater didn't show this one in 4K. I'd assume Paramount didn't give them 4K but I do remember the first ever 4K showing they did, testing out the waters, was Top Gun Maverick, so maybe they just didn't think this movie would do good enough to give it 4K Laser screenings?

As for the Atmos, is it really that good? I went to see Shazam! Fury of the Gods in Atmos and while I thought it was a wonderful surround, it didn't scream ''Atmos'' surround to me. My theater shows it in Atmos, but only dubbed, and I wanted to skip the dub because some secondary monsters are awfully dubbed by Twitch streamers and by god that it'd be distracting.

IF the Atmos is REALLY that good and it can be that good in the dub too maybe I'll endure them.

Pity once again my theater doesn't show this one in 4K. I'll be getting the steelbook day 1.
