Criterion has announced via their Facebook page they will bring the Joan Crawford classic to the 4K UHD format in March 2023!

Was tempted to buy the Blu-ray recently but had other priorities so left it. The 4K UHD should be nice. Don't think I've got any noirs on the format in my collection.

Autumn Leaves (directed by Robert Aldrich) is another Crawford film I like, but don't think it has a Blu-ray release (might be wrong though).

This should be a stunner considering the 4K restoration utilized the nitrate camera negative except for the last reel. If anyone hasn't seen the film yet, you're in for a treat. Not just an essential 40s noir, but it's so much more. One of the best performances by Joan Crawford.

The standard blu looks absolutely incredible and this is one of my all time favorites so I will be upgrading.

don't know if I'll pick this up, I didn't really love Michael Curtiz Casablanca it was kind of mid. I'm guessing this movie might be worse.

MILDRED PIERCE is like if CASABLANCA was better because it stars Joan Crawford.
