I have the old Mill Creek disc but never ordered a replacement for the faulty audio. I guess I won’t get one now.

I didn't know the Mill Creek disc has faulty audio. That's still not a reason for me to double dip for this turkey

IIRC only a small number got out the door before Mill Creek corrected the audio. Check the original thread to confirm.

At the bottom of the 2013 review for the 2on1 BD:

They even released it again in 2020 on its own, which is the one I own.

It doesn't appear to be any different from the Second Sight release, but this is cool for those who don't have it.

If I had to guess, I think it will use the current HD master. Sony supposedly does not allow licensees to do their own restorations.

Funny as I watched the first half of the Mill Creek disc last night before going to bed. I'll probably repurchase for hopefully better PQ and audio.

Someone asked in the Kino thread if it will include 5.1 Audio and if there's any chance of a 4K release and KLI said no to both. I can't imagine the film presentation being that different than the Mill Creek release that's still in print, especially when no restoration is mentioned. But Kino's does include extras, while MC's has none.

Correct. Sony does not allow licensees to do new masters or even alter the masters provided. This was a point of contention with Piranha II where Shout/Scream had to use the last HD master approved by Cameron from Sony.
