I haven't seen this yet but have heard good things about it.
It'll be nice to see it in 4K.

Fantastic film (Complete rip off of 'Branded to Kill' but it's still great.). Will buy this.

This is a StudioCanal release (Classics Remastered) - Canal+ was one of the production companies. Film4 has it in the UK, but I wonder if any other territories are possible? The OOP German release came out from Arthaus [StudioCanal].

However, note the other Australian StudioCanal preorder - Ran 4K - hasn't materialised yet.

Missed this thread. Will absolutely import this. Big fan of Ghost Dog and I doubt we'll get it in NA since it took so long just to get a blu-ray.

Yeah that seals it. Pretty much done with Criterion at this point. The problem with Ghost Dog is it was on my most wanted list for so long I had almost given up hope so it was an instant order when it was finally announced. Almost buckled on Fast Times at Ridgemont High too but nah, not falling for it anymore.

100 percent importing it. No idea why Criterion keeps doing this. Ugh.

Both EzyDVD and Booktopia are the only two sites I’ve found with preorders available. And unfortunately it appears that neither company ships outside of Australia and New Zealand. Here’s to hoping that either Amazon AU or JB Hi-Fi will eventually list it.

Hoping this appears in some other territories. Don’t know the rights, but would love Arrow to give it a UK release.

Ugh...should've known better than to buy the Criterion. No more Criterion buys for me unless they're an old film noir that most likely won't get a UHD upgrade.

Granted this didn't seem to be a movie that would be likely to get a UHD release. At least I know I like the movie now and Criterion holds decent resale value.

This is all true......Criterion just really needs to get on with at least 1 UHD by now. It's getting embarrassing.

It feels like they are trolling now. Each time I see a mastered in 4k critereon announcement I laugh and wait for the UHD international announcement now. How many are there now with UHD counterparts? 3 or 4?

Don't want to be smartypants (but am I guess), but with Ghost Dog a UHD actually was rather likely, since it's StudioCanal/Arthaus in Germany. I always expected a German release and am expecting one now even more so (so that I hopefully won't have to bother with the Aussie rating logo ).

I got the Criterion and it is a very good transfer. I'll get this for sure though but come on Criterion...
