Criterion will be releasing Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs (2018) on 4K in September! It will be released indivdually, as well as part of a 10-film Anderson box set.

Yeah , it's made by Katsuhiro Otomo, a famed manga artist, writer, animator, director. He's best known for creating Akira (both manga and film) so it's pretty amazing to have a cover using his art. They're including a poster of it too.

Alongside Fantastic Mr. Fox and Budapest, my favourite of Wes, so I'm glad this one's coming out separately instead of having to wait for individual release. Hope the other two don't take long to get out as well.

On the other hand I will be keeping my digi of Fox for sure, as this packaging looks a little crazy. Guess I will keep whatever I have then. Would like to see more of what is in the books.

I know people here will poop themselves if they have these discs as sliders LMAO.

I hope we don't give up all the super cool artwork of the OG films just for some nutter weirdness. Because almost all of his films have great cover art.

the original Bluray had 21 minutes worth of EPK material. I wonder if "Making of Isle of Dogs" is referring to that, or if that's a newly produced one.

It's not on the theatrical Otomo poster which is what's on the cover here.
