Default Where do you buy your UK movies from?

Hi I'm from the UK and wondered where you guys buy your Blu-rays from in the UK.

Who's the cheapest UK B&M store where you live?
Who's the cheapest UK Online store where you live?

All comments welcome.

My main 2 would be play.com and amazon.co.uk, but I also use sendit.com and blahdvd.com. They're all roughly the same price but sometimes one can be a lot cheaper than the rest (most notably for me was Terminator : Sarah Connor Chronicles, it was around £17 at blahdvd and everybody else had if for around £26). Play tend to give more pre-order gifts (books, artcards etc) if that's your thing. Both play and amazon have a large selection in their 3 for 2 offers, with play having the bigger selection while amazon are a bit cheaper on some of the titles available (from my experience anyway).

I never buy any from actual shops!

I only tend to get them from the US if they're significantly cheaper or not available in the UK (e.g. Blade Runner 5 disc version). When you add postage on top sometimes they're not that different in price per title, plus you have to think about import fees if you spend over a certain amount which will add a minimum of £12 on top of whatever you've already paid. Apparantly the allowance is set to be increased in January so I may be buying a lot more from the US

Play.com
Amazon.co.uk
Sendit.com
Asda-Enterainment.co.uk
HMV.co.uk

There others I seen have some good prices. I usually order from play and asda since I get the best prices from them mostly.

The prices from HMV.co.uk reciently hav'nt been taking the mick and seem more down to earth now and sometimes do have blu-rays cheaper then others.

I guess they finally got someone whos more down to earth and figured that people won't pay take the piss prices online.

For Imports (region free blu-rays or fox US blu-rays that have region B coding as well) I mostly use playusa.com and sometimes the amazon.co.uk market place.

amazon.co.uk
Sendit.com

I trade in my B blu's at CEX. Usually you get 10-12 pounds store credit or about 8 pounds cash. I only go once in a while and keep the credit. I usually pick up blind buys as more often than not i've already got whats on the shelves that I would want.

I will use other online vendors occasionally, but there doesn't seem to be any point in it usually.

Really?! I wasn't aware of that... Maybe that's why they have the "International" site, with region 1 DVD's (with much higher prices by the way).

Hey BadAss, you should try going to http://www.cheapbluraymovies.co.uk/, you just type in the movie you're after and it'll tell you which online store is the cheapest.

I buy all my UK Stuff at amazon.co.uk. Simply because it's the most convienient method and it's sure to be here (Austria) in about 4 Days. And the price differences to play.com are marginal. (Except for shipping though, but if you buy a lot of them at the same time the shipping costs don't take up a big percentage).
