Frank Tarzi has confirmed on a Cereal at Midnight that Kino will be releasing Things to To in Denver When You're Dead (1995) on 4K next year! It is confirmed to have Dolby Vision / HDR as well.

Truly excited for this release, as I haven't seen the film since its release (I really liked it, though!) and only on VHS, so this should be a HUGE upgrade for me and the best I've ever seen it look!

Yes, it’s the encode again. Not just in that cap but a few of the others as well. No surprise by now sadly. Scenes that play in a darker environment look good to excellent and when it gets brighter there are issues. A real shame as the master itself is wonderful and as you said a significant upgrade to what came before.

I would’ve loved to get this (never even heard of it before the 4K announcement ) but will gladly wait and see if a European label licenses the film at another time.

Beautiful master, but again with the shit encoding. There are literal holes in the grain field, Lol. No zooming or pixel peeping required.

I've got this one on order but I'm not going to cancel it now. At least I know what to expect with the apparent issues – and no great surprises in that regard. Am looking forward to seeing the film for the first time in ages, even if the caps have tempered that anticipation somewhat.
