Anyone else here been following these truly amazing fan projects over the last near decade? Somehow they just keep on going and get better and better... but you get the feeling by the time they finish there will already be another Elder Scrolls out lol, if they finish!
In fact didn't that happen with the Morrowind mod for Oblivion? (think it was called Morroblivion) By the time the thing was reasonably playable/complete everyone was already off playing Skyrim and they started the Skywind project lol. I noticed that Skyblivion was covered on gamespot recently which was cool. Sad that the main guy behind it got death threats though. People heavily invested in your fan project is great, complete psychos heavily invested in your fan project not so much lol. After watching that I checked to see the latest trailers for both projects to see if anything cool had been released in 2020 (I hadn't looked for at least a year or so) and they did not disappoint! Skywind: Skyblivion: . Last edited by Blake00; 10-18-2020 at 01:50 PM. |

Enderal Forgotten Storys was the biggest "fan projekt" (bigger, better game than skyrim) i've ever played. so bad i could not pay the developers, cause its free. (crazy to say that huh xD).
are they free too, requires the original version? |

They are pretty impressive indeed, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting them to be released anytime soon. One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the sheer size of Skyrim, there always seems to be new things to find even after hundreds of hours gaming.

It would definitely be great to get the Morrowind Trilogy via Skywind released. Would even be cooler if the consoles could pick up the remaster. The great thing about Elder Scrolls is it doesn’t hold your hand, you make your own way, and there’s a ton to do. Love having to repair weapons and armor. At the opposite end is something like Elden Ring which is more of a hand-holding game where 95-99% of the players need to rigidly follow the online guides, videos etc on builds, where everything is, bosses etc just in order to survive because of the difficulty level. And that’s not saying that Elden Ring isn’t a great souls-type game.
As for Skyblivion, I because the creators have recently posted that that will be released 2025 at the latest. |

I don't agree that people need to follow guides to beat Elden Ring, and in fact it takes a lot of fun out of the experience. If anything Elden Ring is like how The Elder Scrolls used to be. I loved Morrowind because it didn't tell you what to do. But both Oblivion and Skyrim turned the series into "follow map marker and cross out journal objective" type experiences where I struggled to get anywhere near the same immersion as I get from Morrowind or Elden Ring. |
