Said it before but Gears is probably one of the biggest IPs i would love to play on PlayStation. Plus it's not seen as big a mascot IP as Halo on Xbox i feel for fans to feel aggrieved it's going to PlayStation. Maybe

I have a feeling Halo isn't far behind though.

Ok so this means they're absolutely gonna port Halo MCC to PS5 too, right? Probably Switch 2 while they're at it. Phil Spencer says those are both Xboxes, and I believe him. Look, he's wearing a graphic tee with a logo of a game he killed!

Yes. although, it included the 360 versions of 1-3/Judgment for free, at least initially

After seeing that E-Day trailer for the new game I've been really wanting to play the trilogy games again. Would love for this to happen since I haven't played Xbox since the 360 era.

Anybody here actually like Gears PvP? It was always such a clunky game for me to even try and like that mode.

The 1st Gears PVP was probably the most fun I‘ve had in any multiplayer game.

The multiplayer is still good, almost 20 years later and still nothing quite like it. I don’t think I played anything else for like 7 to 8 months when the first one came out in 2006. The shit talking in the lobbies waiting for the game to start and in between rounds ……epic!

Also remember the “people who suck at gears, play call of duty” or whatever the saying was that went around (this might have been during gears 2 and 3).

Another memory was randomly playing against a team of females (they all had the same clan tag in front of their names) and beating them three or four matches in a row before they left. Down the road, I read an article in one of the gaming magazines at the time about an all girl competitive gears team and lo and behold it was the same group. This might have been around the time of Gears 2 or 3 too, can’t remember exactly (don’t remember the team name either). Good times for sure.

Only played a few rounds of PVP, not particularly memorable. Loved couch coop on on the first game though, I wonder if that will be a part of this collection.

Okay, Gears of War. I thought that was the game but wasn't sure about the title Gears. Guilty Gear is another series with gear.

If this makes it over to PS5, the XBox brand is officially a generic machine as their exclusive big game will be gone. When will Halo be on PS5 next?

I played the Gears 1 remaster on Xbox and thought it was OK but it didn't make me want to play any more of them.

I never played the MP so it’s not a lost to me. I hope the second and third are remastered they need it. If Xbox is going to make a game like Gears non exclusive anymore then I have no real reason to buy the next Xbox. They may as well leave the console business.

I assume Gears etc. will be timed exclusives. I doubt they'd release a new Gears game on Series X/S and PS5 simultaneously. At least not untill they go full publisher.

PvP multiplayer for a remastered series doesn't bother me, but having Co-Op would be awesome to play with family/friends. I'm moreso interested to play the games for the story tbh as it seems interesting.
