I couldn't find a thread dedicated to onn (Walmart) brand TVs...so...
I'm considering buying an onn 55" TV (for my basement home theater, it gets fairly cold there in the winter so I just want something basic). I bought a 32" Philips TV in 2022-11, it seems that Philips/Funai, TCL and onn use the same OEM since their on screen TV status info is identical, I'm happy with the Philips but, a 55" Philips is ~$30 more than a 55" onn and the onn offers a 2 year warranty. Anyone done any picture quality comparisons between onn TVs and (for example) Sony or LG TVs (same screen size)? Kirk Bayne |

On every Onn TV I've read reviews for as an interested person - I find many negative comments 1yr out. Like screen going out or lines in the screen. I also have heard the TCL/ONN claim/fact that they use the same panels and such but having owned a 65in TCL and read their reviews too - I can't say they end the same as often. TCL by far gets better reviews - long lasting product ones compared to Onn too. Whereas I don't think I could convince myself to buy a Onn which sucks cause their cheap $$$. As for picture quality I recommend youtube for comparisons. |
