Default Sorry, guys - "Sweeney"'s Paramount

And the official answer to the long-threaded debate comes in, courtesy of Bill Hunt:
Quote:
Paramount is also about to announce the 4/1 DVD and HD-DVD release of Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd. Watch for details soon.
(Oh, well--I'll give it two months past May to see what Paramount does, and then rent the DVD. Knew I shoulda caught it in theaters, but no, had to take the kids to "Water Horse". )

Maybe when Sweeney Todd arrives, the world will finally know that HD-DVD is the next generation choice of the consumer!

Funny since the HD DVD is likely not to have TrueHD.. it's a musical... and WB BluRay will most likely have it LOL

(Um, didn't we already suffer through X number of months' worth of "B-but...it said Warner on it!...And it's Dreamworks, but Spielberg likes Blu-ray!"?)

And okay, just how DOES one go about ordering these geek-fave "region-free UK imports"?
I can guess how one might find Japanese titles, but Euro??

Haven't you guys heard the rumors.

The fact that it's paramount is likely to mean it won't be on HD DUD at all.

I think it's going to be a nice week-end.

EDIT- By the way,.. another big Paramount HD DUD release has been "delay-ed" with no new release date,.. Star Trek Season 2 is said to be coming in the summer now. They say they need more time to "prep" it. (which means make it all Blu and stuff.)
