Is it safe to assume this is just a repack with no new transfer?

Check out this thread here for all the info: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?p=11268514
This is a 41st Anniversary Edition. Has new special features and includes all the extras from all the past releases. 5.1 TrueHD soundtrack. Unconfirmed reports at the moment if it's a new transfer or not. Anchor Bay POSSIBLY gave the film a new scan; don't know 100% sure though. |

I have both discs and I suspect it's a new transfer, the Critical Mass BD is 23,741,399,040 bytes while the new Anchor Bay one is 41,073,180,672 bytes. I doubt all that extra space is just for the new special features. I'm gonna watch the new disc tonight.

I bought this disc alongside the Blu-ray remake from Amazon Canada back in 2015 (all for only $40 and they were brand new). It’s not different enough from the Somerville House to warrant a double dip unless you’re a special features junkie. It looks the same, except this transfer has a somewhat reddish tint to it that previous releases didn’t have. It has a nicer slipcover, a Rue Morgue magazine inside, and new documentaries and audio commentaries. If you didn’t own a prior release then this one would be the recommended purchase.
However, with the release of Scream Factory’s Blu-ray, which has superior video and audio (which includes several tracks including English lossless and the mono track) and gathers together every single extra for this film under the sun, there is objectively no reason to buy this version over the Scream Factory disc. Only reason I could still see you buying this is if you’re a die hard fan and/or collector and want to own every version of this film on Blu-ray. |

I have the Canadian release from 2008 and an unauthorized bootleg. Unfortunately, the bootleg is also the R rated theatrical cut. I used the listing for the never released BD from Vivendi to stand in for the bootleg.

You’re also missing the Japanese Blu-ray of the original Black Christmas.

As others have said you have an impressive collection. I have a few of those. Clearly you are a super fan of this film. One of these days I will have to post my collection of Black Christmas that includes posters, lobby cards, and the novelization of the film.
