Been wanting to check this out but never got any previous version. A 4K announcement is real nice.

Yeah I dunno about that slipcover lol. And would've liked for one side of the reversible art to feature the film's alternate title, Night Warning (which is how I know the film).

But awesome that this is hitting 4K! It's such an underrated gem, and the performances are quite good as well (especially from Susan Tyrell). She's completely unhinged as the aunt and the film sorta subverts the final girl trope in Billy as well. It's quite well done overall, always been one of my favourite early '80s horror flicks.

Now that some Code Red titles getting released on 4K, I really wonder who's gonna give us a UHD of Savage Streets. That one celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

Just hope Severin doesn't bork the encode.

A UHD of Savage Streets would part oceans, level mountains, create peace, cure world hunger... I'm not even sure the governments of the world would permit its release.

I've hoped for a 4K ever since I saw it for the first time on The Last Drive In. Never expected it to come out within a year! Will definitely be picking this up.

Have Ronin still got it? I'd always hoped Arrow would pick it up again. They released it on DVD back in the day but it never even got a BD over here.

however I do not love Severin prices and import costs so not sure if I should wait and see if Severin release this in UK few months later like they did with Nightmare

This film has become one of my favourites with its choice amount of insanity. Never thought it would go any further than the decent Code Red/KL blu-ray.

Boy, that foreign artwork for Night Terror they are using here... I don't know what to say, all sorts of weird anatomical anomalies. Best not to question it though.

Excited to see this one get a 4K upgrade; I hope Severin sticks the landing.

And count me among the others in this thread who are chomping at the bit for a Savage Streets 4K! One of my favorite sleazy revenge movies of all time, and the soundtrack wails. Gimme that.

Oh, damn. Saw this for the first time earlier this year. Thought it was fantastic. Susan Tyrell was insane.

Don't like that slipcover at all lol. Curious how this'll turn out. Seems light on the extras and no info about the transfer yet.

It almost looks like the Slipcover might be mirrored-foil, but it's hard to know for sure from the one image.

Jimmy McNichol's booty and Susan Tyrell's performance from another planet in GLORIOUS 4K?!?!

When I think of something being authentically '80s, this is one of, like, 3 or 4 slashers that fits the bill every time.

This is THE perfect time to propose that Scream, Queer! Writing course at my university!
