Shares a title with John Dahl's 1996 noirish mystery.

But I guess they forgot?

Denise De Novi went from producing Heathers and Tim Burton films to directing this. Both a cautionary tale on why most producers make horrible directors and how far one can fall.

Also, the Black List committee really loves Christina Hodson's scripts (she had three on the list one year) but have they ever really connected with anyone (and this is coming from one of the few people that liked Shut In)?

It makes me worried for Gotham City Sirens, she's writing it.

She also wrote Bumblebee. Though it is a Transformers film, Paramount did lure Travis Knight away from Laika to direct. So there's a strong possibility that could surprise next year.

Most fun I've had at the movies this year, though for the past 3 years or so that's been some sort of goofy domestic thriller.

I really enjoyed this film and thought both Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl were great!

Rosario Dawson was too good for this trash and gave a performance this movie simply doesn't deserve. She can do so much better.

I really love trashy psycho thrillers like this, so I definitely plan on checking it out. Wanted to see it in theaters but it came and went so fast that I didn't have a chance. Poor Katherine Heigl...just flop after flop!

Heigl only has herself to blame. She burned pretty much every bridge she could possibly cross thanks to her massive ego (and her own hypocrisy, she how she followed her comments on Knocked Up being misogynistic* with the even more misogynistic The Ugly Truth).

It's also the industry's fault for continuing to offer her major projects when audiences stopped caring a long time ago (Grey's Anatomy gone on how long without her?).

* - I'm actually convinced her complaints were less about the film's content and more about her being in so little of the marketing.

She killed her own career, no one else did. She's also about to hit 40 which is when Hollywood will completely forget she even exists. I almost forgot about that trash The Ugly Truth. One of my least favorite movies of all times. Did Gerard Butler really need a paycheck that badly?

The film was a box office bomb so of course the blu-ray is coming quickly to stores.

Just picked up this delicious, surprisingly well acted slice of cinematic trash at Target today (alongside the Target exclusive of Ghost in the Shell).

I'm really excited to revisit it in all of its shockingly earnestly dramatic Rosario Dawson plot clashing with Katherine Heigl's near Ragyo Kiryuin levels of absurd villainy glory.

Its a really wild sit, guys. I highly recommend it.
